With brands like Patagonia, North Face, Arc’teryx, and more escalating their hardcore outdoor credentials, outdoor activities are starting to feel a little gatekept. Which is weird because that’s the last thing that should be kept behind gates.

So Eddie Bauer wanted to position themselves with a softer, more inclusive vision of the outdoors — and we returned to them with “everyday explorers,” people who are all about getting outside in pursuit of a simple hobby or passion that anyone can take up pretty easily. And naturally, TikTok is where these gentle nature nerds love to do their thing. So we partnered with some lovely creators to make some vibey TikToks to encourage everyone to experience the world #JustOutsideYourDoor.
